Judith Peterka (Photo: Veronika Marys) is an AI expert in the German Federal Administration, currently in the Federal Chancellery and previously as Head of the ‘Observatory for Artificial Intelligence in Labour and Society’ at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. Before joining the Federal Administration, Judith worked as an economist for the UK Civil Service, including in the Department for Business, the Department for Digital and the Office for Artificial Intelligence. She also worked at the OECD Department for Education and Skills and as a Teach First maths teacher at a secondary school in East London.
Matteo Cinelli is an assistant professor in Computer Science at the Sapienza University in Rome, Italy. As a member of the Center of Data Science and Complexity for Society (CDCS), he is an expert in the field of Computational Social Science and his research interests focus on the diffusion of information on social media.
Heiko Paulheim is a computer science researcher who holds the chair in data science at the University of Mannheim. His research combines knowledge graphs and machine learning, as well as the societal impact of AI. His current research projects LAVA and KI-DiabetesDetektion, funded by the German federal government, use knowledge graph enrichment to make AI decision-making in medicine transparent and accountable. Since October 2024, Heiko Paulheim serves as a Vice President for Digitalization, Equal Opportunity, and Diversity.
